In 1979 I began my amazing career in Aspen, Colorado. 42 years of adventure, and over 40 different rivers, has been a true joy! I founded Blue Sky in 1983, to share my love and respect for nature throughout our great country.

I grew up in the PNW and love being outside and experiencing everything that this area has to offer. My favorites are hiking, sailing, downhill skiing, and of course white water rafting to name a few. My love for life includes traveling and meeting new people. I’m always up for the next Adventure!

Garrin
Calm, cool, candid. Grew up in California surfing everyday before school, never seen whitewater till I moved to central WA in 2018. Fell in love instantly. Learned from Tom & Kira, the best in the biz. Have since guided/paddled down over a dozen rivers in the PNW including some of the sketchier creeks in the area. Looking forward to teaching you nerds how to read and respect whitewater while keeping you stoked and safe in the process.

13 years guiding. Worked on the Wenatchee, Methow, Skagit, Tieton, White Salmon in Washington. Worked the Arkansas Blue, and the upper Colorado in Colorado.

Hudson
Hudson has been a legitimate “world class” Instructor Guide from having successful experience in Australia, Norway, Costa Rica and the USA.
He is most proud of the many quality rafting adventure-guides who have developed professional guiding careers after graduating from trainings coached by Hudson.
Hudson uniquely combines 20+ years of successful Class 2 – Class 5 whitewater guiding experience along with college level credentialed specialization in Leadership Skills and Teamwork Skills development Psychology. He also brings experience-learning stories from his experiences running many of the top 20 whitewater rivers of the world: including the Colorado River (famous Grand Canyon section), Australia’s famous tropical Tully River, Norway’s epic Sjoa River, and others.
Hudson brings specialized certifications valuable for instructing guides, such as:
