Skagit River Bald Eagle Watching
The Skagit River Bald Eagle Nature Preserve is host to the largest population of Bald Eagles in the continental United States. Migrating to feast on spawning salmon, hundreds of bald eagles migrate every winter from Vancouver Island and British Columbia to enjoy the relatively warm climate of the Skagit Valley.
Perfect for the whole family. What a great way to spend time with your kids - they love watching the Eagles so close by! The Skagit River is very gentle allowing you to relax, take lots of photos and enjoy the beauty of the Skagit Vallley. Peak viewing is mid-December through mid-January. Just a little over 2 hours north of the Seattle area, with well maintained highways and no mountains to cross. An easy drive. Book Early will there is still room!
