Upper Skagit River White Water Rafting Trips
The Perfect Whitewater Trip for Families or BeginnersWe meet right at the banks of the Skagit River. Here you’ll get your gear (wetsuit, neoprene booties, lifejacket, and optional splash jacket) and enjoy a light snack lunch. Then we head up to Goodell Creek where our trip begins. For the first half of the trip you'll float down through gem-colored waters with views of old-growth forests and the North Cascades wildlife on the banks - watch for beavers, deer, and waterfowl of all kinds. We’ll enjoy water fighting, games, and maybe even go for a swim. Here and there a Class 2 rapid will add a little excitement along the way and prepare you for the whitewater highlight of the trip, the "S-Curves," a series of three fun Class 3 rapids. Then we’ll continue on the second half of the trip with more floating, playing, and the occasional Class 2 rapid. At the end of our journey, we’ll take-out right where you started your day.
For 2010 we’ve hand-picked the following trips as the best Washington and Vancouver, BC has to offer:
