Tour the Skagit River Guesthouse

Sun IconCheck Room Availability

Welcome to our Guesthouse on the Skagit River. Purchased in April of 2005, we spent 5 months completely remodeling this 1900s farmhouse to create the ideal place to stay for the outdoor lover. Surrounded by mountains and bordered by a river and creek, this house is one of our favorite places to stay. Our guests enjoy spending time relaxing in the house, strolling the grounds, and exploring the area.

Living Room

Snuggle up with one of our books or magazines or cozy up to the fire. This room is a great place to sit and relax and joins the dining room. A favorite way to spend time in here is with a good Northwest wine or a cup of hot cocoa while reading a book or playing a game from our library. It's a great place to socialize and meet the other guests - occasionally a more outgoing guest has gotten everyone staying in the Guesthouse together to play group games in this room. Grab the guitar and strike up a tune. Enjoy our evening appetizers. Light some candles to set the mood or just listen to fire crackle. This room has hosted many late-night conversations.

Dining Room

The dining room is furnished with beautiful sets of tables and chairs. This room was intentionally placed to receive the morning sun and plenty of windows allow the light to stream in. Each morning, a continental breakfast will await you in this room. The room is open during the rest of the day for games, puzzles, and whatever other activities you'd like. The dining room opens into the living room and the back gardens.

"The glass doors in the dining room are a nice touch. The sun flooded the room while we ate breakfast. Thanks again for a wonderful stay."
- Kathy D. & Jill M.,
Oakland, CA

"I really didn't want to go back home to the city! It was so relaxing to get away from it all. I'll be back out this summer for a week. Maybe do a couple of days of rafting, the river looks so beautiful."

Kitchen

The kitchen is open for your use. We've fully supplied the kitchen with everything you'll need - pots, pans, dishes, utensils, salt & pepper, spices... For those with skill in fishing, you can cook up your catch right here. You can store snacks in the fridge or use the mini-fridge in your room.

"Thanks again for letting us use the kitchen. Jon cooked the salmon we caught while we were out with our [fishing] guide and I made a berry cobbler for dessert. We had a great time!"
