The Legendary Black Canyon

You'll meet us at Lightning Pine RV Park, across from the historic town of Methow, Washington. This is our launch site for the Methow River, where your guides will be ready to show you a great time. We'll gear up and spend about 3 hours on the river, exploding through some of the best whitewater in the state of Washington. You will face such rapids as Hurricane, the Jolly Green Giant, and the Mother Lode. In the legendary Black Canyon, you'll want to paddle hard to avoid the fearsome Black Hole! Enjoy the dry climate and arid hillsides of the lower Methow Valley, floating along between the whitewater highlights. We'll take out right before the confluence with the Columbia River, and shuttle you back to the top.

Back at the Lightning Pine RV Park, you can change into dry clothes while we heat up the grills. Always an important part of the trip, our food is one of the reasons our guests come back year after year! Enjoy our Top Sirloin Steak BBQ, potato salad, corn on the cob, french bread, and lemonade to finish off your trip. This river is located right on the Cascade Loop, so you have the option of returning to the West side of the state on this very beautiful drive.

A Big Yellow Boat All to Yourself

Want to have just your group and your guide in your raft? You can book all the seats (2-8 people, plus your guide) on the boat for a private raft. Enjoy the freedom to tailor your trip to your own tastes -- take group pictures, paddle over to interesting wildlife, get one-on-one time with your guide -- and make your whitewater experience truly memorable.
