Pearrygin Lake State Park Directions: At the four way intersection in Winthrop (on SR20) turn up the hill toward the ambulance garage and town maintenance shop. Follow Main Street north until it becomes East Chewuch Road; turn right onto Bear Creek Road and follow the signs from there to one of several park entrances. About: Pearrygin Lake gives you an opportunity to play in more placid waters. With over 11,000 feet of waterfront, you'll find ample opportunity for swimming, boating, fishing, or just relaxing with the family on the lovely lawn areas shaded by ash and waterside willows. Just four miles outside of Winthrop, the park may be enjoyed alike by campers and customers at one of Winthrop's lodging places.

Winthrop Region Eateries
Grubstake & Company 222 Riverside Avenue Do we seem to have a particular taste for riverside restaurants? Who can blame us, with options like Grubstake. Utilizing local, organic ingredients in their excellent pizza and sandwich selection, this restaurant would be worth the trip even if it didn't have Wednesday PBR nights with dollar beers, all-you-can-eat pizza, and live local music for a feasting, sloshing, stomping good time. Don't miss it!
Heenan's Burnt Finger Barbecue and Steak House 716 Highway 20 Can't have too much barbecue, can you? Watch your own slab sizzle on the open grill, then enjoy old time cowboy music or native American flute-work as you dig into what you certainly deserve.
